Easy Idioms

There are in English language some words that release and is intended to mean something other than its literal meaning, which may cause some problems in understanding some of the talks .. I wanted to have and would like to mention some

1)) Break the ice

المعنى الحرفي : اكسر الثلج _ المعنى المجازي : مهد الأمور او مهد الطريق
لأمر ما أو رفع الكلفة بينك وبين شخص ما

المعنى الحرفي : هو يبدو ازرقاً _ المعنى المجازي : هو يبدو حزيناً

(3) She is in the clouds

المعنى الحرفي : هي في الغيوم _ المعنى المجازي : هي شاردة الذهن

(4) I will go banana

المعنى الحرفي : سأصبح موزة _ المعنى المجازي : سأجن او سأفقد عقلي

(5) It rains cats and dogs

المعنى الحرفي : انها تمطر قططاً و كلاباً _ المعنى المجازي : انها تمطر بغزاره

(6)This is nuts

المعنى الحرفي : هذه مكسرات _ المعنى المجازي : هذا جنون او هذا هراء

(7) It's a piece of cake

المعنى الحرفي : انها قطعة من الكيك _ المعنى المجازي : إنه لأمر سهل جدا
------------------------------------

(8 He leads a dog's life

المعنى الحرفي : هو يحيا حياة الكلاب _ المعنى المجازي : هو يحيا حياة مليئة بالقلق

(9) He is a black sheep

المعنى الحرفي : هو خروف اسود _ المعنى المجازي : هو المنبوذ في العائلة أو أن حظه سئ ويقع في المشاكل

(10) This is a hot air

المعنى الحرفي : هذا هواءٌ حار _ المعنى المجازي : هذا كلام لا فائدة منه

Hi Mais,
You mentioned "the black sheep" in your post above and all what I said is that I just remembered this song because " black sheep" is mentioned also in the song when he says:

Good bye papa please forgive me,
I was the black sheep of the family.

Any way I am not the black sheep of the family but i am the white one actually because i am the youngest and the most spoiled one so that they miss me so much now!!

I am very happy to see you again here meadows. How is your summer vacation? try to seize your time there to learn the native French. I am trying to register in a course of French here in the French Cultural Center but it is so expensive ( 1,950 SAR). I may start it after returning back form my vacation after Eid.

In fact, I realized my mistake this time. Perhaps the reason is my mother's travel in that night. I love my mother very much and I miss her every second... pardon me! I can not separate from my mother for one minute. This image, she who chose to me, one day, as one of the most beautiful image I have. So, it's my mother, I expect.

I am so sorry too! I also miss mother so much because I didn't see her one year and six months ago. I'm planning to go on a vacation on the coming Eid to visit my family.

Mother is really can't be separated from any one's thinking, a word that can't be described.
